John ArnoldJohn Arnold is a versatile performer and educator. John is currently the head of Bands and Orchestras at Somerset Sky Pointe School and former Professor of Violin at the Wanda L. Bass School of Music at Oklahoma City University John is currently one of the Violins for Celine Dion’s show at Caesars Palace and formerly served as the Associate Concertmaster of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. John has shared his talent and experience with of some of the greatest names of the local and international stage. He has performed as a Concertmaster with a variety of artists and mediums such as Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Andrea Bocelli, Itzhak Perlman, Kristin Chenoweth, Kelli O’Hara, Lionel Ritchie, Barry Manilow, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Quincy Jones, Josh Groban, Yo Yo Ma, Marvin Hamlisch, David Foster, Smokey Robinson, Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood, Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga, Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, Toby Keith, Neil Sedaka, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Mannheim Steamroller, Celtic Woman, St. Petersburg (Russia) Ballet with Galina Mezenstova, Frank the Man the Music at the Palazzo Theatre, The Peter Pan National Tour, The Elvis Experience, Chicago the Musical and has performed at the 2016 Billboard awards, the 2015 American Music Awards, 2011 Daytime Emmy Awards and The 2011 MDA Telethon. John’s extensive orchestral experience has given him the opportunity to travel and work with some of the greatest condutors in the world. He has worked with Charles Dutoit, Leonard Slatkin, Andre Previn, Yuri Temirkanov, Sir Charles Grove, Joseph Silverstein, Akira Endo, Jesus Lopez-Cobos, Otto-Werner Mueller, Kurt Sanderling, Jerry Steichen, David Allan Miller, Michael Stern and Ann Howard Jones. John’s has performed chamber music with acclaimed cellist Lynn Harrell, The Bartok String Quartet, Richard Kilmer, Ben Hong, Nancy Ambrose King, Michael Ma, Wayne Crouse, Chad Burrow, Amy I-Lin Cheng and on the Brightmusic Concert Series and the Mayo Clinics Music for the Heart Series in Rochester Minn. John has an extensive recording resume. John recorded with Celine Dion for Sony Records on her Diamond selling French albums Encore un Soir and Sans Attendre. He has recorded for the Warner Brothers Label, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, David Caddick, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Ink Spots and numerous Christian recordings and film scores. John is a member of Pi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity as well as Pi Kappa Lambda, Oklahoma Music Educators Association and American String Teachers Association. John participated in the Starling-Delay Masterclass at Julliard.
