To celebrate the opening of their new store in Downtown Summerlin, Altar’d State invited Positively Arts students to perform a Pop Up Mini Concert INSIDE the store! PA students Alaina, Lily, Rylan, and Tristan wowed shoppers with their vocal talents and had a blast introducing Positively Arts to the Summerlin community. Thank you to Altar'd State for selecting Positively Arts as the "Mission Monday" partner for the month of April! ❤️

As part of both our upcoming documentary as well as our new web series, “Behind The Strip,” Bill Medley of The Righteous Brothers sat down with our Positively Arts Founder and two young students to open up about his own social anxiety and stage fright surrounding performing. Mark Ruber and Sriya Wint got to ask Bill Medley questions about how he deals with his anxiety and any advice he can give up and coming performers about how to handle themselves. The kids got to watch their sound check and received complimentary admission to their South Point residency show! Make sure to watch our documentary and web series to hear his amazing stories about The Beatles, Sammy Davis Jr. and much more! Mark Ruber even got to surprise Mr. Medley with a quick a capella rendition of “Unchained Melody,” leaving The Righteous Brothers stunned and flattered! Rock to the Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by rock bands Styx and REO Speedwagon. Their mission is to build strong, healthy communities through the support of grassroots causes across the country. For the last four years, they have selected Positively Arts as one of their charities to support in Las Vegas. Kids and adults would volunteer their time to help sell raffle tickets for a STYX signed guitar just before each concert. Then, the volunteers were invited to stay and watch the show! In years past, our volunteers have watched The Eagles in concert along with STYX, and last month they were able to see the lead singer of Heart, Nancy Wilson. Since our partnership, Rock to the Rescue has helped us raise over $5,000!
Special thanks to Positively Arts students Max, Sriya, Raquel, Noemi, and volunteers from Cristo Rey St. Viator for helping to raise over $1,500 this year for Positively Arts! And a huge thank you to everyone who continues to support Rock to the Rescue and Positively Arts! |
