Savannah CrossSavannah Cross is from Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated spring of 2015 with a BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah. She is currently the Ballroom Dancer in BAZ – Star Crossed Love. Savannah is one of 7 dancers in the country to receive the Dizzy Feet Foundation Scholarship and was a member of the Performing Dance Company, where she worked with renowned choreographers including I-fen Lin, Eric Handman and Satu Hummasti. She has trained with the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in the United Kingdom, where she collaborated with international dancers. Also, Savannah has traveled throughout the country assisting in Hollywood Connection, a dance convention. She has worked with Jamar Roberts of Alvin Ailey and has also been involved in MOVE and Evolutions of Dance under the direction of Rick Robinson. In 2011, she was a finalist on Paula Abdul’s TV show Live to Dance. Savannah has taught and choreographed throughout many dance studios and high schools in Utah. Savannah performed with “Ririe-Woodbury” in their spring show, Spring Season. She is currently a dancer on “Gotham Dance Theater” and “of bones || hollye bynum” in New York City. She is currently performing in Baz: Star Crossed Love as the main dancer, Fran. Alongside, performing she is also a fitness instructor and dance teacher. She trained in “Barre” fitness and became in instructor in 2013 in Utah. She is now a fitness instructor Equinox, teaching at multiple locations throughout the city. Aside from fitness, she also teaches every style of dance to students ages 5-18 and her choreography has received overall awards and national titles.
