Positively Arts is proud to announce Pula as July Artist of the Month! Pula started with Positively Arts this past spring in our Artists' Clubhouse! Pula recently sat down with Positively Arts student intern Naomi C., who is currently a sophomore at Cristo Rey St. Viator College Preparatory in Las Vegas.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What are your hobbies? Favorite artists?
PULA: Some of my favorite hobbies are dancing and rock climbing. I love Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Jax.
What are some of your long-term goals?
PULA: To go sky diving and be successful in performing arts.
Have you enjoyed your experience in the Clubhouse?
PULA: Yes, I love it. I've made so many new friends and have learned how to sing.
Based on your experience in the Clubhouse do you want to continue to pursue the arts?
PULA: Yes, absolutely.
What do you enjoy about Positively Arts?
PULA: I love how everyone is so caring and we are all friends.
Are there any challenges that you have faced, but were able to overcome?
PULA: Yeah, during dance class I had a hard time remembering the moves at first. I started practicing all the time and I got it.
Is there an activity with Positively Arts that stands out to you? And why?
PULA: I think dance because you can really involve yourself in it and keep your friends around you. Also because I have always wanted to be in a dance crew.
What is the best advice someone has given you?
PULA: Keep trying. Never give up.
What is something you learned from Positively Arts that is going to help you in the future?
PULA: During singing class I learned how to control my pitch better.
How did you feel when presenting your Clubhouse project?
PULA: Nervous and awesome.
